The Phoenix Rose are already challenging music industry models with their environmentally friendly actions and soundtrack. The Phoenix Rose is a band with a mission. A big mission. Their ethos and manifesto as a band is to ensure that their contribution is as green as possible…not an easy task.

They have signed the worlds first green recording contract with 'Archangel Green', and have made the following commitments:

* carbon offset travel to live gigs and recordings * use a green energy tariff for recording * produce limited CD's only for promotion purposes unless they are encased in sustainable packaging * where possible use enviro-friendly products and clothing * apply pressure to venues to proactively publish public travel links and switch to green energy tariff" Archangel Green is the UK’s first green record company that also lends financial support to the UK’s greenest music festivals.
