The fact is we are the most filmed nation in the world. Over the last 50 years CCTV figures have zoomed up from a mere few to 4.2 million cameras with apparently minimal opposition. That’s 1 camera per 14 people. Compare that with a supposedly over-regulated China which only has 2.75 million cameras (1 per 472,000 people) the reality of how monitored the UK is becomes a truly intimidating statistic.
