Mau Mau
Environmental, political, topical, critical… Mau Mau’s designs have been documenting the times for over a decade. Hailing from Devon - the land of green hills and chilly Atlantic waves – Mau Mau’s prints have been appearing on tees and sweats since he founded the Sewerside boardwear label in the mid 90’s. That distinctive lick led to him art-working for artists such as Estelle, Skitz and Rodney P, Dizzee Rascal and Roots Manuva before focusing on producing his own art. Sell out prints with Souled Out Studios and exhibitions in the UK, Europe and Japan have cemented his reputation on the art scene. Meanwhile, he continues to paint free-range - from shipwrecks to surfboards to billboards to street walls - worldwide.

Mau Mau's prolific body of work away from canvas and wall spaces provides testament to his strength in depth. THTC have incorporated many of his designs on clothes, creating statement pieces that mesh art with political and environmental commentary. Some of the crowd favourites being - Noah's Shuttle, Evil Mac, Babylon and the ever popular - Plenty more fish in the Supermarket.

Pictured above, in order, Evil Mac, Chant Down Babylon, All You Can Eat, Climate Change, Noah's Shuttle, and Fear Trade.
Mau Mau also designed the 'Free Burma' shirt (pictured below). Burma has been run as a dictatorship for two decades now. This shirt was designed to raise awareness and to continue to fight for a truly free Burma.
