Between December 2010 and January 2011, both Australia and Brazil were hit by major flooding. Over 250 people died in the Brazil floods and over 200,000 people were left stranded after an area the size of the state of Texas (268,581 square miles) was covered by flood water in Northeastern Australia. The flood water is now reportedly heading towards Southern Australia.

Growing hemp now requires 10% of the fresh water that growing conventional cotton needs. When the oil has run out, it's very likely the next wars will be over water.
