Afrika Bambaataa set up Zulu Nation on 12th November 1973. Having been a member of the Black Spaces gang in New York, he helped to educate and inspire the disenchanted youth through events, music, and workshops. Exactly one year later - the 12th November 1974 - marks the official 'birth of hip hop'. THTC has collaborated with Zulu Nation to produce these designs. This unique collaboration is the first of its kind, and is setting new standards in conscious-led design. Zulu Nation, founded by Afrika Bambaataa, teams perfectly with THTC, the world renowned eco-street wear label, sharing ethical principles and messages for consumers.

Zulu nation is an international hip hip awareness group. Zulu Nation continues to inspire people of all races and religions, and promote hip hop, street dance, and urban culture all over the world.
